The destruction of the Kingdom Stone, a powerful artifact that was keeping the peace between three nations, has freed Merga and unleashed her wrath upon the world. The game's story revolves around an ancient threat that has resurfaced from the depths of the ocean: Merga, a water dragon who was imprisoned in a crystal during a war long ago.
The game also offers two modes of play: Adventure mode, where you can explore the world of Avalice and interact with its animal inhabitants, and Classic mode, where you can jump straight into the action without any distractions.
